This will be the first year of the College Football Playoffs without the Crimson Tide, and I can confidently say that the other 49 states in the US couldn’t be happier about it. Unfortunately, Ohio State and Clemson will once again be in attendance. Oklahoma is a another familiar face to the CFB playoffs, but they face the number 1 ranked LSU Tigers in the first game. Which probably means that the Sooners are going home empty-handed…again.

LSU vs OU
I personally love Jalen Hurts. He brought Alabama to a National Championship just to lose his job to a freshman. Hurts then transferred to Oklahoma and led them to the playoffs while staying in Heisman contention for most of the year. However, Joe Burrow (the actual Heisman winner) and the LSU Tigers are by-far the better team. LSU has played some of the best competition in the country and they have yet to disappoint. Also LSU coach Ed Orgeron could be the most entertaining man in sports. He’s pretty much a cartoon version of what you think an LSU coach should be. LSU by 90.
CU vs OSU
This is the most intriguing match-up. Both of these teams have been CFB powerhouses for nearly a decade, so naturally I despise both of these teams. This game presents a great QB match-up between Trevor Lawernce and Justin Fields. I also have to mention the potential number 1 draft pick Chase Young for Ohio State. However, I have lived in South Carolina for ten years now and I have finally learned not to bet against Clemson.
I think we are going to see a Tigers vs Tigers National Championship.
Go tigers.
